My Background and Leadership Style
My career in the nonprofit trade association sector began in the fall of 1993, shortly after graduating from college, when I answered a job posting at the University of California Career Center. That first opportunity opened the door to a dynamic career spanning financial services, nonprofit operations, and government relations at the local, state, and federal levels.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside and learn from outstanding mentors who have profoundly influenced my leadership style. I believe in cultivating a collaborative, inclusive workplace where teamwork, innovation, and shared ownership drive success. As a hands-on leader and relationship builder, I value meaningful connections with colleagues, stakeholders, and the communities we serve.

My approach combines practical insight with strategic foresight—always focused on creating long-term value and fostering a strong organizational culture. I am passionate about building socially responsible organizations that not only meet their mission but make a lasting positive impact.
